Rent Out Your Canadian Home Daily or Monthly: Airbnb, Kijiji and BabDar

A Canadian home offered by the night is not the same product as a home offered by the month, and the ad should say which one you mean. Nightly guests expect a calendar, a cleaning plan and house rules. Monthly tenants expect a lease, a clear total, and an answer about heat, internet and parking. Provinces and cities also restrict short-term rentals, and some buildings ban them outright. Decide the length, check the rule where the home actually sits, and only then choose the websites. An unclear ad attracts the booking you are not allowed to accept.

Owners already split those jobs across known platforms. Airbnb and Vrbo are the main marketplaces for nightly and short stays in Canada, with their own fees and calendars. For a monthly or yearly tenant, Kijiji remains the classifieds site private landlords use most. Realtor.ca and Centris carry agent rentals, and Centris is the one that matters in Quebec. Zoocasa and, in British Columbia, REW add more rental search. If you want travelers, start with Airbnb or Vrbo. If you want a tenant who lives in Canada and needs a lease, start with Kijiji, Realtor.ca or Centris. Those audiences do not fully overlap, so a single post on the wrong site stays quiet.

Put the same facts on BabDar

You can list the Canadian rental on BabDar with no BabDar listing fee, with photos, a pin and a price, after the usual review. Write in the first lines whether the stay is daily, monthly, or both, and match that sentence to the Airbnb, Vrbo or Kijiji ad. People can message you on the listing and reread the terms later. Price the monthly option as a monthly total and the nightly option as a nightly total so nobody has to guess. Submit the map listing on BabDar, keep the stay platforms for guests, and keep Kijiji, Realtor.ca or Centris for a Canadian lease. One home, one set of rules, and every site repeating them.
